The development of connectors in material other than the copper due to the rise in theft and mishandling

An intense analysis and development work has led to the creation of a new range of electrical connectors suitable for connecting and termination of newly developed connectors in Aluminium-Magnesium, different from the copper ones used up until now.

These newly developed connectors helped Cembre acquire the renowned and valued recognition by Deutsche Bahn.

The adoption of new conductors that are less valued and therefore not as tempting to thieves as precious metal, allowed DB AG to considerably reduce theft of these cables and subsequently faults and service interruptions.
